Lia karamanli
Born in 1967 in Athens from parents native to the city of Kavala, with art being a tradition in the family for over three generations. Growing up in my father’s studio, I got in touch with art from a very young age. I graduated from Doxiadis School in Athens, conscientious enough and finally learning side by side with the surealist artist Apostolos Kilesopoulos in Thessaloniki.

I have taken part in individual and group exhibitions in Athens, Pyrgos, Drama, Xanthi and Kavala.

Born in Greece, a country full of light, nature and observant, I deal with life and art in depth and with optimism thus preferring compositions with bright colors, clear lines and distant horizons.
Being a restless spirit, moving in different styles and always in constant search. I have taken part in murals amongst other works of art like models for wine labels, music covers, posters for theatrical performances as well as the backgrounds.
My latest piece utilizes the classical ancient Greek art with another perspective using a  uniquely original technique drawing with cigarette butts  instead of brushes, sending my own ecological message.
I live and work in Kavala owning my own gallery and teaching art to adults and children.
